About Us

I am a Florida native from 

Bradenton, FL. now residing in Monticello.  After serving as a Reactor Operator on Navy submarines, I went on to have a great career at commercial nuclear power plants in Florida and Missouri.  In between those two jobs, I worked in real estate for 3 years.  I have returned to real estate with Steve Walker Realty.  My father was a furniture refinisher and that led to my interest in slabs and epoxy.  I graduated from the University of Florida and I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker.  Jo-Anne is a career schoolteacher from Saratoga Springs, NY.  She is a graduate of SUNY @ Cobleskill, University of Hawaii, and University of Florida.  She taught elementary education in Ft. Pierce and Port St. Lucie, Fl. and Callaway County, Missouri.  Her hobbies are cooking and arts & crafts.

The purchase of the Shiver property and the preparation for the slab business are very exciting for us.  We hope we can turn our enthusiasm for DIY crafting into an interesting business.
